Meet 10:00 a.m. in the carpark in front of Awesome Walls, Stockport (i.e. as you drive through the entry portal, turn sharp left into the car park. The route will take in some/all of the following: Alan Newton Way/Middlewood Way/Lyme Park/Gritstone Trail/Peak Forest Canal. The route is mostly off-road & suitable for adults & children under supervision. Care will be needed to cross some busy roads & to avoid cycling into the canal! I expect the route to be cold, wet and muddy so leave your high spec road bike at home & bring a MTB/Gravel or a hybrid with MTB tyres. The length of the route can be varied to suit the ability of participants. Those with sufficient energy/enthusiasm can then go for a post ride climb at Awesome Walls. Finally, as the days are short, please bring a good set of lights, high viz jacket, snacks and clothing for cold, wet & windy conditions.
